Crossover DJ Bryant D likes the “energy” in Latin music and is seen more and more around town in places like Ibiza Night Club, spinning his new beat. eSpanglish Magazine talked with DJ Bryant D about his new passion in life and what prompted the change. eSpanglish: What is your connection to Nashville and the music industry? DJ Bryant D: I was born and raised in Nashville and was a radio host for a Nashville radio station. I've been a DJ for 15 years spinning R&B, top 40, hip hop, house music & Latin music. eSpanglish: What inspired your interest in Latin music? DJ Bryant D: I traveled to Mexico and became familiar with the different types of Latin music. I really enjoy the Heavy Salsa & Reggae ton, because of the energy in the music. I've also learned that a lot of Hispanic music has double meanings in the songs, which I think is interesting. And am learning to speak the language quickly. eSpanglish: Who are your favorites in the Hispanic music industry? DJ Bryant D: Sonora Carruseles, Frankie Ruiz, Wisin Y Yandel eSpanglish: What are your future hopes for your music career? DJ Bryant D: To produce music of all kinds and help local artist in any way I can. eSpanglish: Do you have any words of wisdom for others who want to get into the industry? DJ Bryant D: Be passionate about your work and always stay professional. eSpanglish: What other talents do you have? DJ Bryant D: Creating beats, Radio & TV commercials for night clubs and club promoters all across the United States. eSpanglish: Anything else you’d like to share with us? DJ Bryant D: I would like to thank Carlos (the owner of Ibiza) for allowing me to spin at his club and helping me to become more familiar with Latin music.
